Mitchell Valuation is a leading real estate services firm that provides a wide range of property tax consulting services to clients across various industries. Our team of professionals has a deep understanding of the interplay between asset valuation, capital markets, and the current real estate marketplace issues that affect our client's day-to-day business operations. Our Founder Jim Mitchell, has extensive experience in the real estate industry. He has been involved in a diverse range of real estate activities, including site selection and planning, marketing and management, multimillion-dollar investments, and development and construction of office and retail buildings. Furthermore, Mitchell has extensive experience teaching college courses that span from real estate investment to farm and ranch appraisal. Additionally, he has taken on the role of an MAI Candidate Advisor for the North Texas Chapter of the Appraisal Institute.

At Mitchell Valuation, we understand that each client has unique needs, and we strive to provide customized solutions to meet those needs. Our services range from simple personal property reporting to complex business personal equipment assessments, covering a broad range of properties, from freestanding retail stores or medical offices to complex manufacturing equipment.

Our compliance services include filing correct, accurate, and timely protests on behalf of our clients at no additional cost as soon as the assessed notice is received by our office. We also provide appeals services, including informal and appraisal review board hearings, where we provide presentations, data, and reports at no additional cost to our clients.

We provide ongoing communication with our clients throughout the property tax period, keeping them updated on any ongoing projects, deferred maintenance, condition of improvements, and percent completed as of the effective date of assessment to maximize tax savings. At the end of each property tax period, we provide our clients with timely reports on the appeals process, tax savings, and projected future assessments.

Overall, our goal at Mitchell Valuation is to provide our clients with the best possible property tax consulting services, helping them save money and maximize their financial position. As a qualified expert witness with extensive experience in real estate appraisal, I have had the privilege of working with various courts, tribes, and clients in Oklahoma, Texas, Florida, North Carolina, Kansas, New Mexico, and Colorado. My expertise covers a broad range of areas, including valuation of farm and ranch land, water rights, mineral rights, conservation easements, partial interests, and more.

I take pride in providing litigation support and consultation services to my clients, offering objective and reliable opinions that are backed by solid evidence and thorough research. I have served as an expert witness in various cases involving damages, bankruptcy court, estates, divorce, partnership interests, disputes over capital improvements, water rights, oil and gas valuation, and more.

Apart from my expertise in real estate appraisal, I have also worked on review appraisal projects for Freddie Mac and banks, as well as ROW and inverse condemnation cases. Additionally, I have evaluated mineral rights, TIF (Tax Increment Financing) for a 12,000-seat arena, solar panel valuation, and leased fee interest in WTG farms.

I am committed to providing high-quality services that are tailored to meet the unique needs of my clients.
